Exterior Painting

Curb appeal, in color. Your exterior is the first thing people see. A great color scheme makes a house look like itself, only better.

The classic trio. Most exterior schemes come down to three colors: a body color, a trim color, and an accent for the front door and shutters. The front door is the fun one, so go ahead and make it bold.

Look around before you choose. Your roof, stone, brick, landscaping and even the neighborhood all play a part. Colors look lighter and brighter outdoors than on a little chip, so we’ll look at larger samples in daylight on different sides of the house.

Your siding, your style. Wood, cedar shingles, fiber cement, vinyl, stucco and brick each take color a little differently. We’ll talk through the colors and finishes that suit yours. If you have vinyl siding, ask us about vinyl-safe colors, since some darker colors aren’t recommended for vinyl.

New England weather. Exterior painting depends on the weather, so we’ll talk about timing for your project during your consultation.
